Western Uganda | Active ProgramWAMPU operates in Kagango-Ibanda village, Western Uganda—a community where poverty, disease, and parental loss have left many children at risk. Right now, we support 17 children: 13 orphaned by disease, 4 from families unable to afford school basics. 6 are sponsored. 11 are waiting.
Every child deserves education, stability, and someone who believes in them. That's what we're building here.
What we do
Education Support: $35 per child per school term (3 months) covers school fees, books, materials, and supplies. Education breaks cycles—it's our priority.
Child Protection & Care: We track each child, follow up on their safety, coordinate with families and local leaders, and ensure consistent support for the most vulnerable.
Essential Needs: Food, hygiene, and clothing support reach children before crisis. A sponsored child stays in school. By comparison, unsponsored children face dropout risk daily.
Family & Community Support: We work with caregivers and local leaders to build sustainable care networks that extend far beyond individual sponsorships.
Healthcare Access: Access to medical care is limited in our region. We respond to urgent health needs, though funding for regular check-ups and treatment remains a challenge.

Interested in sponsoring a child?
$35 supports one child for an entire school term (3 months). It means school fees, books, materials, and the chance to stay in school. For 11 children waiting right now, one caring person could change everything.
